Dr. Cardenas & Sandra Morin

Dr. Morin, our Periodontist, is here in our office as needed to see our patients for all periodontal services. Dr. Morin specializes in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of periodontal gum disease. She is also an implant surgeon and specializes in implant dentistry and oral surgery.

Periodontal (Gum) Disease

According to the  American Academy of Periodontology, gum disease is a leading cause of tooth loss. Gum disease may be associated with other chronic diseases, such as diabetes and heart disease.

Symptoms of gum disease may include:

  • Red, swollen gums
  • Bleeding while brushing and flossing
  • Receding gum line
  • Loose teeth
  • Sores in the mouth
  • Bad breath

If you are experiencing any of these symptoms or you are concerned about the overall health of your gums, we recommend you to schedule a comprehensive periodontal evaluation with Dr. Morin.

Dental Implants

A dental implant is an artificial tooth, which looks almost identical to a real tooth. Implants can be used to replace one tooth, several teeth or even a full mouth reconstruction. For individuals missing teeth, implants may be a great option. As we know eating requires a lot of chewing, and many patients  missing teeth often have to avoid their favorite foods due to sensitivity, or even pain. Dental implants can help you achieve that confident smile of which you have always dreamed.
