Dentistry is in my heart. I first came to love the profession by watching my older sister practice in my home country of Colombia. I remember being overcome with pride as I watched my sister transform the lives of her patients; I knew that I wanted to follow in her footsteps.

I received my DDS with academic distinction from Universidad Metropolitana, Barranquilla, Colombia in 2000. I attended Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine graduating with Honors and receiving the Certificate of Merit by the American Association of Pediatric Dentistry.

After completing my DMD, I was appointed Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of General Dentistry in 2017 and in July 2018, I was promoted to Group Practice Leader guiding 36 students through their clinical coursework.

In private practice my passion is seeing children. I love to see children, who are often nervous, make that personal connection, gain their trust and develop a relationship. That trusting relationship not only helps ease them into treatment, but it helps them understand what they need to do to improve their dental health. I love empowering them to take control of their future. A beautiful smile is a priceless possession.

A beautiful smile is so important that in 2016 I obtained my certification as an Invisalign Provider. By offering this cutting edge, non-invasive treatment, I help teens and adults alike be proud when they smile, to laugh without being self-conscious. Its one of the best parts of my job.

To keep up to date with all the new changes and to offer the best to my patients I am a member of the Massachusetts Hispanic Dental Society, Massachusetts Dental Society and Massachusetts Public Health Association, Metropolitan Dental Society and the American Dental Education Association. I had the honor to receive a Certificate of Appreciation for valuable contribution to the Massachusetts Hispanic Dental Association.
