Justin came to our Wellesley clinic concerned about chipping in his upper and lower front teeth, yellow discoloration, and an uneven smile. He had undergone multiple small repairs in the past, but they kept failing. He also noticed his bite felt excessively tight on his front teeth, which was causing the repeated fractures.

After our signature diagnostic protocols and Digital Smile Design planning, we developed a phased treatment approach to restore his bite, improve esthetics, and provide long-term stability.

Treatment Highlights

Our Signature Digital Smile Design protocol with post-orthodontic records and smile test drive
Phase I: Clear aligner therapy with Invisalign® (5–6 months) to improve alignment and relieve traumatic bite forces
Professional in-office whitening + customized at-home system
Phase II: Upper arch reconstruction
- Six (6) anterior porcelain veneers for esthetics and proportion
- Four (4) posterior veneerlays (minimally invasive porcelain restorations) for molars, bringing the total to ten restorations — all crafted by our in-house Master Ceramist
Phase II: Lower arch reconstruction
- Six (6) custom porcelain restorations on premolars and molars to replace failing silver fillings with fracture lines and to restore proper anatomy and posterior support
Planned: minor composite repairs for lower anterior teeth once bite stability is achieved
Clear Invisalign® retainers with duplicate sets to protect and maintain final outcome
Periodic retainer checks at every hygiene visit
Maintenance: Airflow® hygiene visits and comprehensive exams every 3–4 months
