Greg, a theater actor from Revere, MA, came to our Wellesley clinic concerned about how his worn and chipped teeth affected him on stage. Years of grinding had collapsed his bite, caused gum inflammation, and left him self-conscious during performances. He was ready for a transformation that restored both his smile and his confidence in the spotlight.
As a performer, Greg relied on his smile to connect with audiences — but behind the curtain, years of grinding had caused severe damage.
He presented with a collapsed bite, significant wear on his front teeth, chipping, trauma, and gum inflammation that compromised both his oral health and his stage presence.
At our Wellesley Smile Design Clinic — the first certified Digital Smile Design Clinic in the U.S. — we developed a comprehensive plan to restore both function and aesthetics. After alignment and gum therapy to stabilize his foundation, we designed and delivered ten hand-layered porcelain veneers, crafted by our in-house Master Ceramist, to rebuild his bite, restore proper proportions, and harmonize with his facial features. Lower arch enhancements were planned as the next step, but even at this stage, Greg’s transformation brought back the comfort and confidence he needed to perform freely.
His story demonstrates our philosophy of artistry: not chasing artificial perfection, but creating a natural, expressive smile that reflects the true self.
